Ohio University alum Greg Larson is retiring and closing Larson’s Toys and Games after 33 years, reports the Columbus Dispatch.
Greg Larson, 62, said in a note to customers that he decided it was time to retire “after 33 years of selling the best toys in the world.”
But after studying English and philosophy at Ohio University and working for five years as a store manager for the Little Professor bookstore chain, Larson set up a toy shop in the Lane Avenue mall in 1981.
His goal was to create a place that would sell toys that are “open-ended.”
“Most of our things require a child to do something with it,” he said.
