Hello A&S students!
As we inch closer to the end of the semester, these next several advising tips will be geared toward final exams. This first one is all about location. Did you know that it’s best to have several study locations around campus rather than always studying in one spot? This helps to keep you alert and allows your brain to make multiple associations with the material you are studying, potentially leading to better retention.
Also, studying in locations that don’t allow you to focus can affect how you retain knowledge, so always pay attention to how a space is affecting your habits. Keep in mind that there are a lot of buildings on campus, including the library, that have places to study. You just need to figure out the environment that best suits your needs. The library also has study rooms for group or solo study, which can be reserved online.
