High Point University announced Ohio University alum Jillian Davis as a news Assistant Professor of Exercise Science. She will teach undergraduate human anatomy at the North Carolina university.
As the anatomy instructor, Davis will work with students from various academic programs, including the health sciences and biology. Currently, she is working with 3D modeling techniques to study muscles and movements….
“High Point University emphasizes undergraduate education and research opportunities by supporting faculty in these pursuits,” says Davis. “My own undergraduate experience was highlighted by interactions that I had with devoted faculty, both in the classroom and through research, which had a tremendous impact on my success as a scientist and student. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to provide similar experiences for HPU students, and feel particularly lucky that this opportunity has brought me back to N.C.”…
Davis graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in biology and Ohio University in 2014 with a Ph.D. in biology. During her time in Ohio, she received several teaching awards for anatomy and histology courses from the physical therapy department and the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
