By Sara Berens
College of Arts & Sciences Academic Adviser
The Course Registration period for Spring 2015 is almost upon us, which means you will be meeting with your academic adviser very soon.
To make the most of the appointment you have scheduled together, it’s best to think of the goals you wish to accomplish during the spring semester, before meeting with him or her.
Having academic goals set for yourself will allow you and your adviser to create a schedule that makes the most sense for you as a student and to take charge of your education.
Also, keep in mind that it’s never too early to start thinking about those summer plans, whether you intend to work, take classes, complete an internship or volunteer. These are all valuable experiences which could be discussed during your advising sessions.
