The Department of Geography is a partner in the Ohio University Water Project, an information clearinghouse about water in the Appalachian Ohio Valley.
The Water Project launches on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 4 p.m., in the lobby of the Steven L. Schoonover Center for Communication at 20 W. Union Street. The launch reception is free and open to the public, reports WOUB in a story on “Ohio University Departments, Schools Collaborate On Regional Water Project.”
The Water Project is a public clearinghouse for information related to environmental water issues within the Appalachian Ohio Valley. Its mission is to bring information to citizens, policy-makers and researchers from Ohio University’s journalism and academic communities and to provide a forum for community blogs and action groups. The Water Project is as much a public clearinghouse for information as it is an incubator for ideas and solutions.
