A Ohio University alum Mary Kay Slesinger Rich ’58, ’62M authored a new book on You’re It: How to enjoy a successful life through creative attitudes. She also has a movie in production, My Dream Beside Me.
She earned a bachelor’s in Sociology from the College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio University, followed by an M.A. in Social Work.
“Mary Kay Slesinger Rich hopes to inspire the reader to review his or her life, and take the steps necessary to invigorate the life that he or she is living. The author shares a lifetime of experience, and many valid tips that go against the norm; such as ‘forgoing popularity, and realizing it is not nearly as empowering as loving yourself.’ Much of this insight will impact many of readers’ life decisions for the better,” according to a news release in the Business Journals.

Mary Kay Slesinger Rich holds a B.A. Degree in social work and my M.A. Degree in human relations and psychology from Ohio University. She has been an educator and professional scout director, but predominantly a realtor in Ohio. Mary Kay owned her company for forty-eight years as one of the earliest women realtors. The author has had three wonderful husbands, and has been widowed three times. She is currently blessed with three wonderful children and eight grandchildren. Her recent career is filmmaker and actress for her movie, which is in production, entitled My Dream Beside Me.
