Ohio University and the Ohio Program of Intensive English (OPIE) will again to offer the “Go International” program for students in grades 9-11 this summer, reports the Vinton Daily.
Students attending will have the option to live in an OU dorm with Japanese students, learn basic Japanese and cross-cultural communication by studying and socializing with high school students from Tokyo, and participate in afternoon activities and field trips; certificates for successfully completing the program will be awarded at the end of the week-long session.
Two one-week sessions are offered, students can attend one or both sessions: Session 1, Monday, July 28 to Friday, Aug. 1; Session 2, Monday, Aug. 4 to Friday, Aug. 8. The cost is $70 for those commuting and includes lunch daily, or $270 for those who wish to stay on campus and includes dorm room, Sunday through Friday and all meals, Monday morning through lunch Friday.
