Ohio University alum Tim Pritchard ’10 will be a featured presenter at the May 4 Herb Faire, hosted by the Herb Society of the Preble County (OH) Historical Society. He earned a B.S. in Environmental Biology from the Department of Environmental and Plant Biology in the College of Arts & Sciences.
“Organic Composting presented by Tim Pritchard, will focus on composting methods, describing characteristics of good compost and addressing many of the typical challenges associated with getting started with composting. Tim is an avid gardener, naturalist and sustainable living advocate. After studying Communication Arts at Sinclair Community College and Environmental Biology at Ohio University, training as an intern at the Arc of Appalachia Nature Preserve System and operating a landscaping business, he accepted his current position as Green Practices Program Coordinator for Five Rivers Metro Parks. Tim oversees the quarterly Compost Kitchen series which entails three 2 hour programs dedicated to exploring compost as a means of waste management and organic gardening strategy,” writes Register Herald reporter Leslie Collins.
