Electra Information Systems (Electra), an innovative provider of proven software solutions for the asset management industry, has named Scott Rhodes ’80—an Ohio University alum—as its Chief Operating Officer, reports Virtual Strategy Magazine.
Rhodes earned a B.S. in Physics from the College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio University.
Bringing more than 30 years of experience in the technology market, as well as business and product development, Rhodes will focus on executing Electra’s corporate strategy and objectives. Additionally, Rhodes will be overseeing all business operations for the organization in his new role. Based at Electra’s New York headquarters, Rhodes will report directly to John Landry, CEO of Electra.
Rhodes has been on Electra’s board for more than 10 years and most recently served as Managing Director at Hedgeserv, where he was responsible for product development. Prior to Hedgeserv, he was President and Founder of Veotag, a provider of internet video services. Rhodes also founded Metamorphic Computing Co., a technology consulting company in 1994, where he served as President and has also previously held executive positions at Multex Systems, Inc., and Information Builders, Inc. He has significant international experience having conducted work in several European countries and Japan.
“I look forward to working with the Electra team as we continue to scale our operations and provide innovative software solutions to the asset management industry,” said Rhodes. “In an increasingly complex economic climate, our clients continue to benefit from our innovative reconciliation, data acquisition and transformation, post-trade communications and revenue management solutions and services. I am excited to be taking on this new role with the firm at a time when the buy side needs these offerings more than ever due to stringent regulatory mandates.”
