Psychology: ‘Family Therapy vs. Non-Family Treatment for Adolescent Behavior Problems,’ April 25

The Psychology Department Colloquium series presents Dr. Aaron Hogue on “A Randomized Naturalistic Trial of Family Therapy versus Non-Family Treatment for Adolescent Behavior Problems in Usual Care” on Friday, April 25, at 11:50 a.m. in Porter 102.

Hogue is Associate Director of the Health and Treatment Research and Analysis Division at Columbia University. He directs a federally funded research program focused on treatment adherence and competence, therapeutic alliance, psychotherapy process-outcome research, adolescent development and normative family processes, and community-based prevention for adolescent substance use and related behavior problems at CASAColumbia. He is a licensed clinical psychologist. He earned a B.A. in philosophy and psychology from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Temple University, according to his website.

His research topics include development of family-based interventions for adolescent drug users and delinquency; adherence and process research on family intervention models; case management services for adult substance users and their families who receive public assistance.
