‘Black, Chicana, Native American and White Feminists’ Struggle to Shape Federal Sterilization Guidelines,’ April 10

The Department of African American Studies presents Dr. Rebecca Kluchin on ““Irreconcilable Conflicts: Black, Chicana, Native American and White Feminists’ Struggle to Shape Federal Sterilization Guidelines in the United States, 1970-1980” on Thursday, April 10, at 4 p.m. in Bentley 227.

Kluchin is Associate Professor of History at California State University, Sacramento.

The talk will be based off Chapter 6 in her book, Fit to Be Tied. Kluchin received her doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University. In 2010, she was awarded the College of Arts and Letters Outstanding Teaching Award. This year, she was awarded the President Award for Research and Creative Activity.
