Politics in Paris: Study Abroad Info Session, Nov. 14

An information session for students in interested in “Politics in Paris” is Nov. 14 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Baker 226.

Program will run from May 5 to June 5, 2014. In this political science study abroad program to Paris, France, students will explore the vibrant and politically charged history of Paris—-the site of the most politically important events in world history. This program examines French politics including topics such as the democratic republicanism of the 1789 revolution, the anarchist and socialist movements of the 19th century, the German occupation during World War II, existentialism and the French resistance to the student-led revolts of the 1960s.

Eligibility and Selection Process: This program is open to all undergraduate and graduate students with a minimum GPA of 2.75.

Accommodations: Students will live in shared rooms at a centrally located hostel. Some meals will be provided.

Courses and Credit: Students who successfully complete the program will earn 12 credits. The classes offered include Introduction to Political Theory, Politics of France, and Enlightenment and Its Critics. Independent study and thesis credits may also be used.
