A Writing Workshop offered Saturday, Aug. 31, will be interactive with the current photographic exhibit at Donkey Coffee—”Stairs and Chairs: the ups and downs of life”—by Trisha Lachman.
The writing workshop is being offered Saturday, Aug. 31, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Donkey Coffee stage room for those who will bring pencil and imagination to interact with the photography.
This photo collection has been three years in the making and is drawn from many locations around the country. The interactive idea is to ask writers to view the 28 ‘Stair and Chairs’ photographs of the exhibit and then choose one image to begin writing from during the first hour.
“In the second hour anyone who wants to is welcome to read their piece, be it poetry, essay, memoir, fantasy, etc., or just choose to listen. I anticipate some rich and varied writings from this sort of interactive experience with the ‘Stair and Chair’ photos!” says Professor Dinty W. Moore, Director of Creative Writing at Ohio University’s College of Arts & Sciences.
