The Pike Country News Watchman reported July 30 that Ohio University alum Jennifer Slone ’10 earned a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University. Slone graduated from the College of Arts & Sciences in 2010, majoring in English.
Jennifer is currently employed as the Administrative Assistant at the Pike County Chamber of Commerce, and is the former editor of the Pike County News Watchman. Reared in Wakefield, she now resides in Waverly with her 9-year-old daughter, Grace Cooper, and her husband, Nicholas Slone, who serves as the Public Services Coordinator at the Garnet A. Wilson Public Library in Waverly.
Jennifer is also the president of the Friends of the Pike County Public Library nonprofit organization, where she helps organize the Friends’ annual meeting, the Jingle Bell Book Sale, and the Summer Reading Program.
