Eta Sigma Phi is excited to announce a special undergraduate panel at the Ohio Classical Conference coming to Ohio University this Oct. 4-5, 2013.
Featuring a performance of Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses, presented by the Ohio University School of Theater, and a special lecture by Professor Garth Tissol of Emory University, the conference is sure to be two days of Ovidian goodness.
Interested undergraduates who wish to participate in the panel should submit an abstract by Sept. 1, 2013, to the Gamma Chapter of Eta Sigma Phi at rt604409@ohio.edu. “Because of the conference theme, we especially seek presentations on Ovid and his works, but interested students whose papers concern other aspects of the classical world should apply as well. Additional information concerning travel and lodging will be provided to presenters at a later date,” says student organizer Rachel Thomas.
Some useful instructions to assist in the writing of the abstract may use the guidelines tailored from APA specifications by Miami University.
For more information, contact Rachel Thomas, the chapter president of Eta Sigma Phi, at rt604409@ohio.edu.
